1st Bachillerato (Week 14th -17th April)

Hi, everybody and welcome back! Hope you have enjoyed this weird week!!!

This week has only got two days, so we are going to do some easy activities, I don't want you to start this third term too stressed.

First of all, please have a look at the videos I recorded explaining the reported speech (I could see that one of them has got 1 view and the other 0 views...😖😨😰😭😭😭) Probably it is because I posted the links a little bit later.

So, please, have a look at these videos and check you understand the reported speech:

After watching the videos, do some activities to practice:

Start with activity 3 on page 91 of your book. I don't think reporting verbs are too difficult but, anyway, I give you the reporting verb you must use in each sentence:

After doing activity number 5, rewrite the conversation on your notebooks. Here you have the answers for number 5 and number 6:

And we are finally going to do activity number 7 where you have to use direct speech or reported speech. The answers are bellow:

Apart from doing these grammar activities, you will practice your writing skill and since it is the first time we do an activity like this, I'l explain how to do it in Spanish:

Lo primero que tenéis que hacer es entrar en la siguiente página: https://writeandimprove.com/
y registraros. Una vez que entréis, debéis de dirigiros al nivel intermedio (intermediate)

Al entrar, a la derecha os aparecerá "New tasks" (las tareas que podéis realizar) y a la izquierda "your writing" (los trabajos que ya habéis hecho).

Debéis dirigiros a "new tasks" y pinchar en la tercera actividad ( the one about videogames), pincháis ahí y os saldrá esta página:

Lo primero que tenéis que hacer es leer lo que os piden (flecha naranja): os habla de la opinión que tiene la gente sobre los videojuegos y os piden que deis vuestra opinión, por lo tanto hay que escribir un "opinion essay". Por favor, revisad la teoría que tenemos de "opinion essays" en fotocopias, cuaderno y libro.

Luego te vas al cuadradito donde dice "write your text here" (flecha azul) y redactas tu "opinion essay".  Debes escribir entre 150 y 300 palabras. Una vez que lo hayas terminado, debajo hay un recuadro gris que dice "check", lo presionas y te saldrá el feedback (flecha morada) y your progress (flecha marrón).

Necesito que antes del domingo 19 de abril, me envíes captura de pantalla donde pueda ver el feedback y el progress que obtienes después de hacer la redacción.
